Hey Guys,

Just wanna know if anyone has had any success connecting from Mitchell's Plain area??!?!

Im personally new to CTWUG and stay in the eastridge area, im more than willing to assist ctwug by anymeans! Maybe with enough support we could use my roof as a high site!??!

Warlock, currently we have no active members in that area.

There is theoretically signal that way, maybe you can post us some google earth co-ordinates, and we can see exactly how close you are.

Also try putting http://wug.ctwug.co.za/ctwug.kmz in Google earth as a network link, that will show you where everything on CTWUG is at the moment.

Warlock072 there is no one connected in your area but i,m sure you will pick up the Mars-SS sector, you can arrange for someone from CTWUG to do a quick scan @ your house and do a recommendation on what to buy (please do this if posseble as there are a few guys who lost a few bucks on buying the wrong equipment). We've been trying to link up a buddy in mitchels plain but he doesn't have line of sight. Have a chat with happydaddy maybe you have better luck.

Warlock072, according to my calc maybe it will be posseble for you to connect to mars.wifi is weard you maybe dont have a signal but the guy next door may have perfect LOS. so arrange for a scan at your house with some beer and olofberg

adamaix who is a friend and collegue will hopefully be able to assist me with some tests at my place! as far as line of site goes, i stay in a doublestory house and if need be i'll mount a big ass poll for the antana! lol

lo Warlock072, had a look at adamaix co-ordinates, he is pretty close to our sites. Is he interested in linking? you won't find a better highsight than what happydaddy has in Pelikan Heights, which is closer to you.
We've been trying to link loem rash for more than a year and would appreciate it if you were a solution.
