Is it OK to do scan with 19dB flat panel instead of 27dB grid. Then if I pick up something interesting, re do scan with a grid.

It is much quicker with a flat panel. My experience is that you must rotate the grid very slowly or you may miss even a good signal, while the panel will show you it is there. If you know the signal is there you can hunt for best reception.

Any comment on this please

Hi Steve,

Personally I would say YES to scanning with a flat pannel. If you get a good signal with that, you sure will get a good signal with a grid then.
Now if you scan with a 31dbi grid, the thing is huge and very difficult to work with. Now if you get a signal with that, will you still be able to get the same signal with say a 24dbi grid?

Why not just get 3 x CPE's for testkits?
Easy!
