Node database

would it be possible to setup a database of all our users with SSID and location. everyone who sets up their own AP can add it to the db. kinda like a self maintained database. this would make it easier for ppl to plot out where the closest node is and how viable it would be to setup a node etc.
just a suggestion... any coments?

I think it is a great idea.It will make it easier to search SSID's.This way you can see if you pick up a SSID and this way you know you are on the right track.(Especially for newbies in WLAN's like myself).

Isn't that exactly what nodedb does ?

Nodedb seems to be a bit vage.maybe a local database will have more detailed info in it...

and nodedb doesnt work half the time and is a bit queer the other half the time
