the linksys WRT54G is highly acclaimed so it should be good. there's also quite a few alternative firmware versions for it

I have tested the dlink520+ cards, they are build on the acx100/111 chips. The dlink cards without the "+" work very well, they are build on a different chip. The dlink AP has alot of features but not build for wug usage.

Note on WRT54G: BEWARE Linksys has released a version 5 wrt54g, it no longer runs the linux based custom firmware. They are replacing the linux based wrt54g with a wrt54gl which is identical to the version 3.1 wrt54g. So don't worry unless you bought a version 5 wrt54g.

dwl-2100ap is fine for home use I have one, but all my other aps are wrts54g's with openwrt :P

As discussed previously the Ver 5 WRT does not support alternative firmware. Linksys have released a GL version that is a rebranded Ver 3.1. This will support all alternative firmwares out there
