So I have a question,

I planing on getting the WUG kit and wanted to know if I need to change or install frimware like DD-WRT? or OpenWRT?

Does the RouterBoard come preinstalled with its own frimware?

And if it does come preinstalled could I install DD-WRT?

The routerboard comes with it's own firmware called RouterOS (http://www.mikrotik.com/software.html).

It's very powerful and is the standard that the WUG runs on. There's no need to downgrade to DD-WRT.
