Hi Guys,

Just got back home and noticed that there is many many RB's running 100% CPU utilization currently.
It does not look like all of them started the same time, but some have been running like that for 2 weeks solid!!!

Anybody have any idea's?

Hi Wetkit, welcome back!

We noticed this some time ago, it looks like a bug with the fetcher used by scripts. At the moment the best solution is to reboot the affected routers.

We are currently investigating what causes it, but have not found a reliable way of triggering that effect yet.

There's a known bug on the mikrotik forums for 100% cpu for the last year almost... I don't think Mikrotik have solved it yet.

Had two of my rb's go to 100% cpu in the last few months.

hi Guys ,

I have noticed it is the stats script causing the rb's to max out.
I have spoken to bigmike and he is fixing the scripts but it is recommended to disable it for the time being until the script is fixed.

I am not sure about it, I have had the 100% usage on my RB before the stat scripts. I think the stat script uses features that cause the error, so it could happen more often with them enabled.

Well, there is clearly an issue so I've disabled the stats scripts for the moment and we can see if that fixes the problem. I am also going to see what I can get out of Mikrotik on this - I've made a support file on one of my rbs and will send it to them. As Pilgrim said, I think the stats scripts might be poking at a broken part of RouterOS and so they highlight an underlying bug.

If your rb is mis-behaving, give it a reboot and run the ctwug_init script.

It would be very helpful if you all could post a 'me too' if your rb is currently at 100% or has been over the past two weeks - just rb name and ip please :)

Thanks!
