I apologise if this has been covered already but both cm9 and r52 are too short to search on :D

So what are the differences in the cards? I want to buy myself a new RB and another card, was originally going to buy a R52 but was then suggested the CM9, however besides the CM9 being more expensive I can't see any major difference? Budgets and all I would prefer the cheaper card unless there is some serious drawback.

R52

Any suggestions please?

Thanks!

CM9's receive sensitivity is much better.

All in all, it's a superior card. Just remember to use the connector on the right for your antenna.

Matwalsh, rather spend a few more bucks and get the R52-Mn

It has never been proven on ctwug that one is better than the other.

As some of you may know, I suffered extensive loss when my high site on Helderberg went up in flames last weekend. So much so that on Monday, some of my competition went around telling my customers that I was out of business.

Amongst other things, any routerboards that weren't in ABB enclosures went up in smoke.

To give you an idea of how hardy CM9s really are. The RB433 that this card was plugged into, disintegrated. As did the R52n-M. This card dropped about 15m down the tower during the fire, was burned further on the ground and then got a splattering of rain before we found it earlier today while we were up there.

When I went bought replacement radios, I bought CM9s.
