I want to know which graphics card is good for high-end gaming. My budget is between 5000 INR.

The new 560 GTX cards look great, slightly better than the 460 and those were fantastic cards. If you can find a 560 with a nice and silent custom cooler like the Gigabyte SOC versions go for it.

First you need to consider the following:

1.) The specs of your processor.
2.) Ram
3.) FSB
4.) Formfactor of mobo
5.) Powesupply Specs
6.) Cooling.
&.) Space in casing

Once you have looked at all of this then you can decide on a GPU that best suits your PC or else you end up with an over spec PC with under spec GPU or vise versa or even worse a GPU that cannot run at it's full potential due to constraints within you hardware. Also power to your GPU may be an issue if your power supply module is at it's limits. Nowadays GPU's are hungry critters and chow on Eskom. There are so many variables to putting a decent machine together that it is not as simple as just buying a high end GPU and popping it in your machine. Perhaps you should do some research first. If you are not sure which way to go, provide all the details you can about your system so that okes in this forum can assist and advise you.

pc format says"The GTX 580 is the most powerful single GPU card available and easily slays AMD's 2 headed hydra, the HD 5970"So that would be nice for backtrack 4-r2 wich got cuda support.

If want nice SLi support in the future, go for the GTX580. Or if you want to go AMD, go for the 69xx if your case can support that monster of a card (the 6970 is HUGE).

If your rig can handle the best, then go for it, otherwise don't put a Veyron engine into a beetle.

Go for the GTX580 you wont be sorry. I have one and it rocks. Play everything on full graphics at 1920x1080. Even Metro 2033 runs nicely with that card(above 35 fps at full graphics 1920x1080).

Asus 6870 Vapor-X. I got one. Most cost effective vs performance imho
