Maintenance at IO and IO2

Hi,
I will be working on IO and IO2 this Saturday.
IO will be down for most of the morning to replace the panel to Europa with a grid and to build the RB over into an new enclose.
The Link to TheG will also be upgraded to an R52hn.

This maintenance will cause the links between Mars, Europa, Graphire, TheG and AndyCap to be down.

OK, IO and IO2 are back online.
The basic tuning is done.
OSPF is working again.

Next steps is to tune Theg link and Graphire link.

Ok, after a couple hours of tuning we have stabilized the IO-Europa, IO-TheG, IO2-Graphire links.

Nothning was changed on the IO-Mars Link and IO2-AndyCap.

After the maintenance 2 weeks ago, the site worked properly for a couple of days.
On Tuesday last week, the mars link started loosing speed according to the RB graphs.
It looks like it is an TX alignment issue on my side. The TX CCQ on my side is totally off.
I see it is affecting the overall speed during non-game time.

I will be going up on the roof today after work to try and re-align the grid.

Andycap moved and I did a preliminary turn of the grid at the same time. His equipment is now up and today I will be doing some tuning to try and get that link better.

While I am up there. I will be looking at the MARS and TheG links as well and see if any tuning is required.

There will be some major down time for the links here at IO and IO2 today.
Will be re-spacing grids and then realigning. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hopefully there will be some improvement to MARS after this.

Ok, Major work has been completed.
Grids has been spaced. (Mars, Europa and Graphire).
New Grid added for ThaViper.

Mars now gets an extra 3 Mbits both directions.

Had to add Stay Wires after spacing the grids since now it caught more wind.

Yeah, I would like to know too. Very interesting. Looks like you can braai 'n lekker fish on that grid and tinfoil maneuvre.

Going to try and see if we can use the Goofy Link and get a better connection, with more speed going through. goofy has a good connection to Mars, so we should be able to speeds up the connections to mars.

OK, the link from IO to Mars has been dropped and it has been linked to Goofy.
The OSPF has been updated and the initial tuning has been done.
TX 30 to 40 MBis
RX 10 to 20 Mbit.

Aspi is tuning his side tomorrow and then this link should then be good.

Goofy-IO link is going down to upgrade the card on Goofy side and to then align on Goofy side.

The Andy Cap Link is dropping atm.
I checked my side and it there is nothing wrong my side.

Andycap will check his side. It seems that his grid might have shifted in the wind.

installing UPS here to keep everything up over short power failures.

Good day.
Tomorrow morning, weather permitting, we will be installing power on the roof. This will allow IO and IO2 to be powered from a short cable, rather than 40M Lan cable.

I will also be installing an SXT for 2 clients behind the building that can't see anything else.
There will be some downtime.

After last night's wind the grids to Goofy and Europa seems to have been shifted a bit.
I will be going up when it dry enough.

I am doing some unscheduled system upgrades now.
Upgrading IO1 from an 433 to a 433AH to see if it will help with performance.

Upgrade successful.
IO1 is now a 433AH, lets see if the double in CPU speed helps with the load.
