I've got this NS5 that's gathering dust in my workshop.

It's one of the very first ones that made it into SA.

I've been thinking of using it to connect to Triton. I'm ECE on WiND.

What are the pros and cons?

I also have the option of popping a R52 into my RB600A and pointing that over to Triton.

I've just spent some time inside that RB600A as there's talk of replacing it with a RB800.

It's got 2 x nStreme Dual links (so that's 4 x R5H) as well as 2 x R52Hs with sectorals on it and it works quite hard. For those wondering how to connect 6 radios to a RB600, it's got a RB604. All the R5Hs are on the 604 and the R52Hs are on the board itself.

I don't think adding a R52 to that lot to connect to CTWUG is a good option.

Let me rather flog the NS5 to somebody and use those funds for a RB411 and a Poynting 19dBi integrated enclosure. I've got a box of spare R52s in case client radios pop.

Now things could get interesting.

That RB600's ether3 is connected to a gigabit switch that then goes on to connect a complex with 140 houses in it (I'm ECE on WiND).

102 out of 140 houses make use of us for their internet connectivity. Most use wireless, but 41 of those houses have RJ45 sockets against the wall that terminate to a variety of items from RB750's to wireless routers, Dreamboxes, PCs, Playstations, Xboxes and laptops. I know there are a number of people in that complex who would love to WUG.

I've got the capacity to connect the guys who have cable into their houses without putting strain on the wireless side of things.

I also know that I can put a WUG IP on the RB411 and then get a CPE to VPN into it so that the WUG IP then appears in the user's house. I've done this in the past with people who want public IP addresses so I know it works.

How do I get a range of WUG IP addresses that I can allocate to people who want to connect to CTWUG through my radio - once I've got it up?
